The name Angel Chicken comes from the chicken being served on angel hair pasta, but you could use spaghetti or any other pasta you have on hand.

When I am making this and have an extra minute I mix the cream cheese with the wine or broth before I add it to the slow cooker. You don’t have to do this step but it helps make sure you don’t have any lumps in your sauce.

Chicken can be tricky in the crock pot because different slow cookers cook differently, quicker. I always recommend checking the chicken half way through the cooking time to help you gauge how quickly it is cooking. A meat thermometer is also helpful!

If you are short on time you can use the chicken tenderloins, they are a smaller piece of chicken and will cook faster.

    1. Yes, I am sure you can, I just never have. You would just need to watch the chicken to see when it was done. A lot of the time would depend on how big your chicken was. Let us know if you try it!

I had 3 large, untrimmed chicken breasts and they were more than done in 2 1/2 hours on low, so check to make sure they are not overcooking! Next time I’ll take out at 2 hours.

  2. I can’t wait to try this recipe! If using chicken tenderloins, how long do you recommend cooking on low?

    1. Time depends on a couple things; if they are fresh or frozen and how hot your crock pot cooks. I would use a meat thermometer and check after a couple hours to see where you are at.

I don’t like cream cheese so I looked up a substitute which is ricotta cheese which I love and it’s Italian to go with the Italian Salad Dressing. I so want to make this because I think that this will be a great sauce for the chicken and the pasta. My mom loves lots of sauce so this will be good! Will let you know how it comes out when I make it. I want to rate it 5 stars but it won’t let me.
