Eat, Drink and Play by Color: Red

This post is all about the color RED.

This meal was my husbands favorite. The Meatloaf and Red Smashed Potatoes were perfect for my meat and potato loving husband.

I tried to have around 5 things for each color including a meat, starch, fruit, veggie and dairy item (we are dairy farmers you know!). For this post the dairy came in the potatoes that were perfect with lots of butter!

Red Meal Ideas

We used red raspberries to spell out “red” so we could work on our letters. We rounded out the plate with our veggies, red peppers and tomatoes.

Our oldest son (3 years old) isn’t a big potato fan, believe it or not, but he did take a bite. Eating the raspberries was fun because they are the ultimate finger foods! He liked the meatloaf but was the most excited to grow red peppers in his garden this year!
