We get a cow butchered every year so we always have beef in the freezer. One of the cuts I usually forget about is the cubed steaks. But we don’t have the problem anymore now that I have this recipe as a go-to!
If you like this recipe you will also like Company Beef, the same ingredients just a different cut of beef. Stew meat is used instead of cubed steaks.
My crock pot is my go to kitchen appliance when life gets busy. I use a 6 quart for almost every recipe I make. I love being able to toss everything in the crock pot while the boys are at school and then coming home to dinner ready to eat!

For those looking for a low carb version; Use a meat tenderizer on the steaks for a couple hours and use beef broth for the ginger ale.
Are the cube steaks seasoned before cooking? Also, I was wondering if I could use club soda in place of the ginger ale?
I do not season them. I have never made it with club soda, let us know how it is if you try it! Enjoy!
I can’t eat mushrooms. What can I use instead? Thanks.
Maybe cream of celery or potato? I have never made it like that but if you do let us know how it is! Enjoy!
can vernoras be used or maybe something else?? do not like ginger ale!!
You can’t taste the ginger ale. I would use something bubbly, I think the sugar and carbonation help tenderize the meat.
