Crock Pot Sweet and Sour Smoked Sausage

  • 2-3 lbs. smoked sausage sliced
  • 20 oz. can pineapple chunks in juice, do not drain.
  • 1 and a 1/2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed


  • Slice smoked sausage in 1/4 inch medallions.
  • Brown slicked smoked sausage a couple minutes on each side in a large skillet over medium high heat, until slightly browned.
  • Drain grease.
  • Saute green peppers in same skillet until tender crisp.
  • Pour all ingredients into a crock pot and cook on high for 1-2 hours (low 3-4 hours) Stirring occasionally.
  • If the recipe is to sour add more brown sugar, too sweet add more vinegar.
  • Serve as an appetizer or with rice and noodles as a meal.
