Ham Balls With a Brown Sugar Glaze is a family favorite recipe that can be made with leftover ham.

- 2 eggs slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tablespoon dry mustard
- 3/4 cup cider vinegar
- 3/4 cup hot water
In a medium bowl soak bread in milk for about 5 minutes.
Stir in eggs.
Add meat and mix together.
Shape into balls and place in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan.
In a bowl mix together glaze ingredients.
Pour sauce over ham balls.
Bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours.
Baste occasionally with sauce.
Depending on where you live the availability of "ham loaf mix" may very, I haven't found it anywhere around here but my Aunt's have a place you can get it (but we live in different states). I am able to get ground ham in the lunch meat aisle at our local grocery store. This is what I use. Other people I know grind their own ham through a meat grinder or food processor. This would be a good way to use up leftover ham. The ground ham I get requires more ground pork to make the mix work. Otherwise you can always ask your butcher to make you a mix and ratio would be 2/3 ground cured ham and 1/3 ground pork.
If you use dry bread crumbs you may need to increase the amount of milk you use.
