This is what planting corn looks like.
And yes I do think his tractor is sexy!!!

However, I haven’t seen my hunny in the tractor much thanks to Mother Nature.
In fact, he has only had one day that the ground was dry enough for him to get in the fields.
On a good year we would be finishing up planting this weekend.
This year we have to be a little more patient.
The weather looks pretty good this weekend so hopefully we can be back in the fields before you know it!!
So, if you are interested in learning more about planting corn you can visit some of my bloggy friends planting corn posts.

  1. There is nothing, and I do mean NOTHING better than fresh field corn! Growing up my extended family ran a farm in Alabama and they’d let us come up around harvest time and take home all we could fit in the back of the pick-up. It would last us all year!

I followed yall over here from The Life & Time’s Of E1. I love your blog! I’m enjoying catching up with all your older posts! Sounds like yall have a really great life!!

  2. We are nearly done, though we are on a much smaller scale out here on the West Coast… here’s hoping that Mother Nature begins to cooperate and lets us breathe a sigh of relief!

  3. Wish everyone was done, but some who had crops up are now looking at replanting, so I am not sure what is a good place to be right now. Praying that the sun shines and the ground dries up next week. Going to stop watching the radar if I can. Hugs and good thoughts to all our farming friends out there.

PS Those blue planters seem to be all the rage in farm land. Is yours a Kinze (sp?)

    Have a fun weekend!

  4. I love that you think his tractor’s sexy! Here’s to nice weather so all the farmers can get back in the fields.

For some reason, blogger isn’t let me comment unless I do it anonymously! Ugh! ;0)
