Happy Tuesday!!
I have a super yummy recipe for you today!! Believe it or not it is also quite simple! My favorite kind!
Start by mixing up the melted butter, brown sugar
and wafer crumbs until well blended and set aside.
Place a ready-to-use pie crust in a 9 inch tart pan and spread softened cream cheese evenly over the bottom. If you want to make your own pie crust here is a great recipe I use when I have the time!
Sprinkle half of the wafer mixture over the cream cheese.
Combine fruit, sugar, flour, cinnamon and toss to coat.
Layer the fruit in the crust. I start with the apples and top with the pears.
Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture and bake for 35 minutes or until apples are done, I always test them with a fork.
Serve warm with your favorite whipped topping or ice cream!!

Apple Pear Crumble Tart:
3/4 cup crushed Vanilla Wafers (about 24 wafers)
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, melted
1 ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
2 large baking apple, peeled and sliced
1 large, ripe pear, sliced
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup flour, divided
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon

1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Mix wafer crumbs, brown sugar and melted butter and mix until blended, set aside.

2. Place pie crust in greased 9 inch tart pan (If you don’t have a tart pan you can use a pie pan). Spread softened cream cheese carefully onto the bottom of the crust. Sprinkle with half of the crumb mixture. Combine fruit, sugar, flour and cinnamon and toss to coat. Layer fruit over crumb mixture. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture.

3. Bake 35 – 45 minutes or until fruit is tender and crust is lightly browned, feel free to cover loosely with foil to prevent crust from browning. Cool or serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping!!
