Gooseberry Patch recipe #8 – Spooky Pizza Dip

This dip is a perfect addition to any fall gathering but an especially great fit with game days!
Spooky Pizza Dip
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 t. Italian seasoning
1 c. shredded mozzarella
3/4 c. grated parmesan
8 oz. jar pizza sauce
1/4 c. red or green pepper, diced
Optional: cooked sausage or chopped pepperoni
Blend together cream cheese and seasoning; spread on the bottom of an ungreased 9×9 baking pan. Combine cheeses and sprinkle half over cream cheese mixture. Spoon on pizza sauce (great project for my little helper!)
Sprinkle with pepper and, if desired, sausage or pepperoni. Top with remaining cheese mixture. Bake at 350 for 15-20 min. Serve with crackers. Serves 10-12.
