Fiesta Ranch Crackers are the perfect, easy snack recipe.
The recipe for Fiesta Ranch Crackers came from a very good friend of the family who’s husband helps us on the farm. We call these, “Beer Drinking Crackers” and we often have them when we are camping. They would be the perfect snack for card night or while watching the game!
Fiesta Ranch Crackers
These crackers are easy to make and get their name from the Fiesta Ranch Packet that you use at part of the seasoning.
This recipes is simple and a great one for the kids to help with. Start by mixing all the ingredients in a liquid measuring cup. Place the crackers in a large bowl or jug (it will need to be large enough to toss the crackers in the seasoning) and pour the seasoning mixture over top. Toss or turn the jug to evenly coat the crackers, this part is great to get kids involved! Just make sure they aren’t too rough and break the crackers (speaking from experience, ha!).
Once the crackers are evenly coated let them stand (either in the bowl or on a cookie sheet) for about 1 hour before serving.
These crackers have a little bit of a kick. If you would like to make them spicier add more crushed red pepper flakes. If you would like to cut back the heat you can use a regular ranch packet instead of the fiesta and omit the crushed red pepper flakes.

I tried to bake some and they didn’t taste good at all. I just placed a bunch in the warm oven for a couple of minutes to dry them. I love the flavor. I used Ritz crackers since I didn’t have any saltines. I think they would be better with saltines but the Ritz worked fine too. Very tasty. I only used about 2 tsp. of red peppers as we don’t like them too hot.
Could you use Cheese-its in place of crackers?
I’ve been making a version of ranch crackers with oyster crackers for years, that you also don’t bake, I think I will try this version with my oyster crackers.
I have made a very similar recipe & baked them! I would with this al
Something’s wrong. Don’t these need to be baked?
No, it just needs to sit for an hour before you eat them so the oil has time to soak in.
Most ppl that make them do bake them for 5-10mins
Most ppl do bake them 5-10mins. I wouldn’t wait an hour of sitting crackers but to each their own.
