This is one of my family’s favorite items to bake at Christmas time (or any time really!!)
If you like Turtle chocolates – this is a dessert for you! It’s simple to make and only takes 6 ingredients!
Mix 1 German chocolate cake mix, 1/2 C. evaporated milk and 3/4 C. butter. Put half of this mixture into greased 9×13 cake pan and bake at 350 for 10-12 min.
While this is baking, melt together 1 (14 oz.) pkg. of caramels – I used these caramel bits and 1/2 C. evaporated milk. Pour gently over the baked cake.
Spread 1 C. walnut pieces and 1 C. chocolate chips on top. Then spread the other half of cake mix mixture on top and put back in oven at 350 for 20 min. Enjoy!!!
I had a taste tester waiting for this one!!!
Yum, who doesn’t love turtles!
Wow, that is an amazing brownie recipe. Love it! Thanks for hosting again this week and Merry Christmas!
Ok, you got me for sure with this recipe…even though I try to avoid cake mixes, I can’t wait to try it! YUM! Thanks for hosting; it must be eggnog season — sharing our recipe for eggnog spice muffins. 🙂 ~Lisa
And who wouldn’t love that!! I would imagine a whole string of taste testers…
These look wonderful and while I have no time to bake them now, I’ll give them a try following the holiday. This is my first visit to your blog and I’ve spent some time browsing through your earlier entries. I’m so glad I did that. I really like the food and recipes you share with your readers and I’ll definitely be back. I hope you have a great day. Blessings…Mary
Oh man, that sounds right up my alley! Looks delish to me! Have a Merry Christmas!
I am not a huge nut fan, but I would look past that in order to try these!!! The caramel layer got me!!! And your taste tester is the cutest:-)
