One of my favorite winter recipes is Ham and Bean soup. Growing up in a German family, we always added a little cream and some vinegar to the soup. And to go with the bean soup, mom or grandma always made Shlitz Keuchle (Love Knots). Roll out a 2 x 4 piece of dough, make 2 slits in each piece, twist, and deep fry. So good with powdered sugar, sugar and cinnamon, dipped in honey, or just plain!! [email protected]
My favorite thing to make in the winter is definitely chili…The spicier the better! [email protected]
