Breakfast food is my favorite and this baked oatmeal is loved by young and old. My husband’s grandmother was especially fond of it! My kids even like it but prefer I make it without the nuts.

  • Rolled Oats
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • Baking Powder
  • Salt
  • Milk
  • Eggs
  • Butter
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Dried Cranberries
  • Dried Cherries
  • Dried Apricots
  • Raisins
  • Pecans

HOW TO MAKE OVERNIGHT OATMEAL WITH DRIED FRUIT AND NUTS

  1. The night before: In a large bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.
  2. Beat in eggs, milk, melted butter and vanilla.
  3. Stir in dried fruit and nuts.
  4. Pour in buttered baking dish until ready to bake.
  5. The morning of: Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  6. Bake in pre-heated oven for 45 minutes or until mixture is firm.
  7. Serve with warm milk.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 3 cups Milk
  • 6 Eggs
  • 4 oz Melted Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/3 cup Dried Cranberries
  • 1/3 cup Dried Cherries
  • 1/3 cup Dried Diced Apricot
  • 1/3 cup Raisins
  • 1/3 cup Pecan Pieces

Instructions

  • The night before: In a large bowl, mix oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.
  • Beat in eggs, milk, melted butter and vanilla.
  • Stir in dried fruit and nuts.
  • Pour in 9 x 13 ' buttered baking dish until ready to bake.
  • The morning of: Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Bake in pre-heated oven for 45 mins or until mixture is firm
  • Serve with warm milk.
