Are you looking for a new crock pot recipe that will be a big hit with the family? This Slow Cooker Cheesy Ravioli Casserole is a family favorite!
I have made this recipe a couple different times now and the last time I made it I threw all the ingredients together in the crock pot at home and took it to the farm office and cooked it. Apparently, the smell carried and people came out of the woodwork wondering what it was that smelled so good! I doubled the recipe on this particular day so we had plenty to share. I even got a complement from my meat and potato loving farmer father-in-law who isn’t a fan of pasta. That doesn’t happen very often so you know this recipe is a keeper!
Slow Cooker Cheesy Ravioli Casserole
You could almost call this a ravioli lasagna. You layer it the same way you would a lasagna except the layer of cheese is already included in the pasta so I just sprinkled the shredded cheese on the top.

I love to make my pasta sauce with both sausage and hamburger. I love the flavor the combination has so I often double the sauce portion using a pound of both and freezer the other half for a quick weekday meal.
I do not cook the pasta before hand.
Serve with a side salad, garlic bread or bread sticks and you are set!

I made this the other day with the temps outside 100*. It was “Awesome ” love to use the crockpot on hot summer days. I will be definitely keeping this recipe. Thanks ????
So glad you liked it! One of our family favorites! Stay cool!
Ballpark, how much sauce is this? If I wanted to use my sauce, how many cups do you suggest? Thanks!
I would say around 6 cups. You can add more or less depending on how saucy you like it. If you sauce is thicker I would add a little water. I actually just made this recipe today!
Thank you for sharing this recipe. It has everything in it that our family loves to eat and making it in a slow cooker is perfect for me :)!
Do you think it would work if I used Italian crushed tomatoes? This sounds like a WONDERFUL recipe, that’s why I
rated it at 5 starts, before even making it.
Thanks, Jan
Yes, that would work great! Hope you enjoyed it!
What size can tomatoes do you use? I haven’t seen a 1 oz can before.
Yummy! I’m going to make this for our Church potluck this Sunday!
would I dare to use 4 pkges of raviola in my 10 quart slow cooker to feed a bunch?
I’ve never cooked in a 10 quart before but I think as long as it all fits and you can stir it a couple times I think you would be good. My guess is the the edges would cook faster than the middle so I would recommend stirring. Enjoy!
Hi can I use ravioli that’s not frozen?
Yes, you will just need to adjust the cook time, it will take less time to cook.
Oh how I LOVE this simple recipe. So happy you shared with us at Weekend Potluck. Keep em coming!
Thanks so much to you all for featuring it!
It says 1 can diced tomatoes, what size can?
Good catch! 14.5 oz can.
